These are the 9 dancing trees in the front of my yard. These trees were not originally designed by me, I simply took pictures of the process while I made mine to post them here on my website. There are several different variations of these, so do some checking around on other sites. I chose this design when I had trouble finding the easels that many other designs use. My trees are made out of two tomato cages and 400 white mini lights each. Each tree is on a separate channel which makes them very versatile in my display.
These little trees are extremely easy to make. Two of the most popular ways to make them are with wire-frame easels or tomato cages. I choose tomato cages because I like the look better and they are cheaper. The cages also range in size from 18 inches to 48 inches which allows for more possibilities. I choose the 32 inch size and wrapped it with 400 white lights. You will need two cages per tree at a cost of about $1.39 each, bolt cutters or a grinder, zip ties or twist ties, black spray paint and lights. Each tree takes about an hour to an hour-and-a-half from start to finish (not including paint drying time).
