=We Have Surpassed The 100,000 light barrier= We have 101,202 lights synchronized to music via 144 computerized channels, powered by over three-quarters of a mile of extension cord and 13 dedicated circuits.
--Plans For 2010--
We should be adding 4 more controllers this year giving us a total of 13 controllers and 208 channels. I will be reconfiguring the Grid to add some versatility and will be adding a few more channels to it as well. We will be adding 4 arches. These arches consist of eight channels each with 200 lights for a total of 1600 lights wrapped around a twelve foot peace of PVC pipe. They'll stand about five-and-a-half feet tall and all channels are independent of each other. The last major addition will be 9 driveway arches. These consist of 900 each of red, green and white for a total of 2700 lights per arch. They stand about 9 feet tall so that we can drive our cars underneath and span the entire driveway. This should be a crowd pleaser. Finally, the stars on top of the roof were a royal pain-in-the-butt (including almost losing them in a huge storm we had) and will not be back on the roof for 2010. We do have another plan for them and think it will still be a good effect.
